Blogging for SEO
For blogging, I would set a standard that works best for you, your staff, your business, etc. and keep it consistent (whether it's posting twice per week or twice per month, consistency is key). The bottom line is that while the quality of your content matters, how frequently you post and update that content is vitally important, too. Balancing the relationship between quality and frequency is critical. Overall, businesses that make a commitment to regularly publish quality content to their blogs tend to reap the biggest rewards in terms of website traffic and leads - and those results continue to pay out over time.
- The "Tag" section is not currently functional within our blog posts. This is a type of functionality our dev team is working towards for future CRM updates, so in the meantime, there is no need to fill in this section.
- One helpful tip for formatting and spacing within our blogs is when you go to copy & paste the information into the "Body Content" you instead choose "Paste and match style" when you right click on your mouse to paste (see below). Or, you simply type within the "Body Content" section itself.
3. You can absolutely use blogging to promote your events at the end of this month. Maybe give a brief overview of what the event details to spark interest and link your Event page to the blog. Then, on the posted blog page, click "Share this post!" to share to your social media platforms (see below) as it's always good to have backlinking to and from your site.
Once it gets closer to the event, I'd suggest creating another post reminding viewers of the event. I also recommend using relevant keywords relating to your event, your business, your location, etc. within each blog.
**Blogging in and of itself is a very easy, free way to help your SEO. Every time Google sees new content (via a blog post), it will flag to re-crawl the site. The more Google can re-crawl a website, the more keywords it will pick up. This means your SEO will become stronger with each blog. I really suggest blogging about once a week if you can. Once you have blogged, another great way to help SEO is to 'share' your blogs to social media. Google will 'prefer' (or rank higher) a website that has great backlinks and inbound links. Sharing your blog to social media (Facebook, in particular) can be an easy way to do this.
I have a great webinar we did a while back that may be of interest to you. It is “how to supercharge your blog” for SEO. There are a couple tips and tricks in there that will help with naming your blog for SEO and how to create backlinks with your blogs. I think this will be super beneficial to your blogging content: https://vimeo.com/160638287
