1 Create new campaign - Everything is the same as setting up a normal Facebook Ad traffic campaign except - the campaign objective is lead generation and accept terms of service (because we are collecting information).
2 Edit Ad Set
- Choose Edit Placements and start by only targeting Facebook News Feed (adjust later if ads performing low)
- Adjust budget and location targeting
3 Building Ad - You can use same info from their original ad, if brand new...build like a new ad.
Tips for Building Ads:
**SPACE OUT TEXT ON TOP OF AD**
Don’t be scared to use a good amount of text on the ad.
Once you create ad, scroll down and hit CREATE LEAD FORM > NEW LEAD FORM
- Name the lead form
- Skip welcome screen (TOGGLE OFF)
- Click QUESTIONS > Show More Options (toggle off full name).
- Choose first name, last name, email and phone.
- Add thank you page - DON’T SEND TO PROGRAM PAGE. Sent to homepage, offers page, or other landing page (does not need to be UTM campaign)
- Click Finish
Check on “Track All Conversions with my FB Pixel” - Add and build a FB pixel for remarketing to the clients website
- Add Cam Newton’s Pixel to client’s website (if don’t already have their own)
- Under PIXELS Create Audience
- Choose - People who visited specific web pages in the past 60 days
Setting Up Zap
Go to Zapier: https://zapier.com/
IN ZAPIER (WE HAVE TO HAVE ADMIN ACCESS TO THE FB PAGE FOR THIS)
MAKE ZAP >> FB LEAD ADS >> CONTINUE & SAVE
Click top option (FB lead account #1) > CONT & SAVE
Select clients FB page
Select lead form >> CONT.
CONNECT AND CONTINUE (this will test ot make sure it works) >> CONT.
Search Formatter by Zapier (allows us to format fields correct with website lead forms)
Click NUMBERS >> SAVE & CONT.
Click Transform and choose Format Phone Number from list and fill in values
- Input - Phone Number
- To Format - Choose “XXX XXX-XXXX (National, No Parenthesis)” to convert phone number to
- Phone Country - leave US unless located somewhere else
SAVE & CONT.
Send Test to Formatter by Zapier
Click Add Step (see step 3 below)
Select Formstack (newer themes) or Wufoo (older themes)
SAVE & CONT >> Select Formstack #1 >> SAVE & CONT.
Search LeadGEN form
Fill in fields (skip remote address) - Click + button to right and choose correct field from dropdown. Everything will be under “New Lead” option except for Phone.
- Location ID is # at the end of URL in LOCATIONS in CRM
- Program ID is # at the end of URL in PROGRAMS in CRM (create hidden Facebook Lead program page, then grab that ID)
- **For PHONE click NUMBERS and choose correct step
Create and Cont in Zapier, make sure test turns green. Name the form, turn ZAP on. Check on this the next couple days to make sure that it working.
SAVE & CONT >> Select Create Entry >> SAVE & CONT.
Search Success Martial Arts form (or The Dojo Karate Training Center if doesn’t work)
Fill in fields (same as above)
Create and Cont (same as above)
